The Barns at Cooper Molera is one of my top 5 wedding venues, so if you’re looking for an awesome place to book for your wedding, look no further! When I heard that this was going to be their venue, I was more excited than a caffeinated squirrel!

Lindsay + Jerome hit the jackpot for their stunning wedding in Monterey, CA. They were able to use this location for getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception! Having everything in the same area was so convenient for the couple.

I have to say, the getting-ready photos were definitely challenging. The room was so full of girls and the lighting wasn’t the best, but after tweaking a few things and giving out some helpful direction, we ended up getting some nice photos for the couple to look back on.

It wasn’t long before I learned that Lindsay + Jerome had legally tied the knot about two weeks prior to the wedding. Jerome shocked the guests by acting as the officiant, but this breach of tradition is exactly the sort of thing he would do.

Despite going against the grain, Jerome did such an awesome job. He walked down to the song “I WANNA ROCK” by Twisted Sister and pumped his fist in the air whenever the song said “ROCK!” It was so funny.

It took me a few minutes to understand Jerome’s dry humor, but man, he is a really nice and genuine guy. He and Lindsay are perfect for each other!

After the ceremony, we found some nice shade at the venue, which gave us the opportunity to make the couple shine with backlight.

Then, it was off to the reception for cake! The decorations were impeccable. With tones of dark green and yellow, this celebration was absolutely a dream!

Then, it was off to the reception to celebrate! Once the drinks started flowing, everyone got LOOSE! They partied so hard. I used a long shutter and a flash to capture the movement on the dance floor. This made for some epic photos!
